About us Established in 2004, Ahimsa House is a multi-functional facility operated by an independent trust. Ahimsa House provides function space for self-managed private or community events and classes, and for hosting public meetings and forums. We provide comfortable spaces to enable people from all walks of life to meet in an environment supportive of and conducive to their aims and orientation. Ahimsa House has function spaces available for hire for conferences, events, meetings, workshops and classes. Please see Our Facilities for greater detail. Ahimsa House is the co-ordinating centre for the annual West End Festival.We have presentation equipment including film screens, digital projectors, a DVD player, TV and VHS player.We can support all of our user groups with guidance in marketing and development. Our local West End Neighbourhood News is published from Ahimsa House. Zapata's Bookshop operates from the ground floor of Ahimsa House selling rare and special, new and second-hand books, including many valuable first editions. The Night Parrot Bar and the Goodbye Paradise Cafe are housed on the ground floor of Ahimsa House and can be included in the hire of the Main Room venue. |
